Herbal Products and Side Effects

I have always been asked whether TNJ is safe to consume, here is what Dr Williams has to say:

Herbal Products

The benefits we were seeing with our research patients were very gratifying.

They also gave us cause to stop and reconsider some of the assumptions and generalizations we had made about Herbal Products.

Many people feel that anything that is natural is safe. Doctors know that is not true.

We see toxic reactions to natural preparations frequently.

We know about natural poisons such as Amanita mushrooms, Alamanda flowers and Bitter Hemlock.

There are many examples. As a result, I have always treated Herbal or Natural products the same as any other drug with all the potential interactions and toxic side effects.

No Toxicity or Overdose

What we were seeing, however, was a product with no overdose potential, no drug interactions except Coumadin/Warfarin (initially considered due to improved intestinal absorption but now thought to be related to reversing various degrees of activation of the Reactive Inflammatory System including CRP, Interleukin 6, and hypercoagulability), and no negative toxic side effects.

How could this be? When we added the fact that only abnormal and not normal functions were affected, it became apparent that this was the pattern of a Nutrient response and not a Pharmaceutical or drug response.

This immediately caused me to divide my concept of Herbal products into two groups; Basic and Fundamental Nutrients and Herbal Drugs.

Herbal Drugs or Phytochemicals have increasing effects with increasing amounts and at some amount will become toxic.

Fundamental nutrients increase in effect to the point that a system requirement is met.

Greater amounts give no further benefit but do not become toxic nor have side effects. Fundamental Nutrients are recognized by your DNA and work under the control of your DNA blueprint.

The next question was why are the two types of response so different?

We believe our research has provided the answers.

First, a Nutrient produces its effects by activating one or more of our internal systems to Normalize or Optimize function. Optimal is 100%, not 2-300%, thus no overdose.

Secondly, all of our Systems are Centrally Coordinated by DNA design (our internal blueprint). Plus, they are Periferally Integrated to operate with all of the body’s other systems without interfering or creating negative effects. However, some systems do work to modify and regulate other systems.

Drugs, whether chemical or herbal, work at the peripheral level without the benefit of System Integration.

This can allow interference with other systems and negative Side Effects.

Some drugs may work at the Central level and cause function outside of the normal range and lose the benefit of Central Coordination.

This is seen as an Overdose with either too much or too little function.

Can a Nutrient act as a Drug?

The answer to this is clearly YES.

Beta-Carotene is an Antioxidant found in many foods, particularly carrots, tomatoes and citrus fruits. It is partially converted to Vitamin A.

Historically, it was found to have preventive and therapeutic benefits in Lung Cancer. However, when Beta-Carotene was given as a Supplement instead of from a dietary source, it had a negative effect.

It has been found that antioxidants given as supplements may exceed the natural balance of food sources and become Pro-oxidants or Toxic.

Vegetables, fruits and nuts have more preventive and protective benefits for Parkinsons and Alzheimers than antioxidant supplements.

This is a part of the reason we all need to eat a complete and balanced diet. Food Supplements work as Nutrients because they are complex balanced combinations of ingredients not isolated chemicals.

Tahitian Noni Juice works in our bodies as a Nutrient without Overdose or negative Side Effects.

  2. My client is suffering from Anemia Aplastik. She drank one litre of TNJ 4×30ml/day. She felt better then. When entering the 2nd bottle, she underwent severe healing crisis, her blood indicators drop like Hb, Leucocytes, thrombocytes. She stopped consuming TNJ because of worrying the healing crisis. She had to add blood by transfusion. I can not persuade her to continue drinking TNJ even by one teaspoon dosage. Can you explain how to convince her and regain her self confidence in drinking TNJ again?
