The Passing of Dr. Ralph Heinicke

I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Ralph Heinicke on 23 November 2002 in Singapore.

Dr. Heinicke was in Singapore to conduct a lecture, at the invitation of TNI Singapore, on Noni and the Xeronine System at our local university.

I remembered him as a warm, patient and jovial person. And he was very fit and strong for his age. After the lecture, he took time to autograph his books for the audience and also to pose for pictures.

Sadly, Dr. Ralph Heinicke passed away last Thursday after a fall at home.

I reproduced John Wadsworth posting at the TNI blog:

From John Wadsworth:

With deep regret, I announce the passing of Dr. Ralph Heinicke, one of the great scientific minds of our time. Ralph was at home with his lovely wife, Anne, last Thursday when he fell and sustained serious head trauma. Although medical help arrived immediately, Dr. Heinicke could not be revived.

Ralph was a brilliant scientist, and many have called him the “Father of Noni.” It was his published research on noni fruit that originally caught our interest and helped inspire the worldwide distribution of this remarkably beneficial plant called noni. His original scientific studies laid the groundwork for much of what we now know about this amazing fruit.

Besides being an amazing scientist, Ralph will also be remembered for his genuine warmth, his good nature, and his dear friendship. He has literally blessed the lives of millions of people around the world, and he will be sadly missed. Our love and prayers go out to his sweet wife, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Although he is considered by many to be the “Father of Noni”, in many ways he was a father to us all.

We will genuinely miss him.

Many of you have met Dr. Heinicke personally too. Do share with us your comments below.

  1. I first met Dr. Heinicke at a TNI Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. I was extremely interested in his knowledge about what the noni fruit could do in our bodies. He was very energetic and healthy for his age.

  2. A wonderful man, one of the few poeple to leave an indelible mark on my life. Dr Heinicke epitomised the benefits of Tahitian Noni Juice, I feel that even at the age of 95 he was taken from us before his time.

  6. Without Dr. Heinicke and his exceptional knowledge of noni as well as his partnership with Tahitian Noni International, many of our lives would be much different today. We appreciate him for all he did and we will miss him.

  7. I remember how long and hard we always applauded Dr. Heinicke when he spoke at conventions. I’m not sure if he was so well loved because of his teaching and understanding of the unusually high value of Noni fruit or because of his deeply lovable personality. Sad to hear he has passed. He did so much for the well being of the world.

  9. I am indeed saddened by the passing of Dr. Ralph Heinicke, and
my thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends at this very sad time.

We all have wonderful memories of ‘his’ facinating stories of the ‘Noni’plant; and the hard work that went into his original research.
Since Dr. Heinike’s team-up with ‘Tahitian Noni International’
there has never ‘ever’ been so many modern scientsts & doctors studying one plant; (Morinda Citrifolia), so intensely to dicover the plants secrets. This gave him ‘World Wide Recognition’ for his painstaking, and steadfast belief in this wonderful plant.

R.I.P Dr.Heinicke~~~We’re onto a good thing & sticking to it.
    Always~Remembered~~~~
